There are two ways you can sign up to become a regular monthly donor to either MND Australia or MND Research Australia.
Credit Card donation
To donate by credit card, click the 'monthly donation' button above. Please note the following:
- Donations for MND Australia are processed on the 7th of each month.
- Donations for MND Research Australia are processed twice a month. If you signed up online between the 1st and 14th of the month then your donation will be processed on the 7th of each month. If you signed up online after the 14th then your donation will be processed on the last day of the month.
Direct debit donation
You can also set up a direct debit payment to MND Australia or MND Research Australia. This is set up through your own bank (via a your banking app, online or in a branch). If you choose to donate this way then please fill in one of the forms below, so that we are able to match your donation in our bank account.

Receipts for monthly donations are sent out annually, at the end of the financial year. Please make sure your email and/or postal address is up to date, so that we are able to ensure you receive your annual receipt.
Our secure donation system sometimes blocks credit cards from international issuers. If you are located outside of Australia and our donation forms don't work for you, then please click here to donate via the Paypal giving fund. The money will come to MND Australia through Paypal. Leaving a gift in your will has the power to change the future of motor neurone disease. A valid Will allows you to decide how you would like your assets to be distributed. You should seek legal advice from a solicitor or authorised trustee company because it is important your wishes are properly expressed, and that the correct legal wording is used. You can choose to leave a gift in your will to MND Australia or directly to our research arm, MND Research Australia.
For a gift to Motor Neurone Disease Australia, the following wording is appropriate:
"I give (my estate) or (portion/the residue of my estate) or (the sum of $________ ) to the Motor Neurone Disease Association of Australia Inc. (ABN 52 650 269 176). I declare that the receipt of the Institute’s President, Treasurer, Secretary or Executive Director shall be sufficient discharge to my trustees."
For a gift to Motor Neurone Disease Research Australia, the following wording is appropriate:
"I give (my estate) or (portion/the residue of my estate) or (the sum of $________ ) to the Motor Neurone Disease Research Institute of Australia Inc. (ABN 46 789 710 580) for research into motor neurone disease. I declare that the receipt of the Institute’s President, Treasurer, Secretary or Executive Director shall be sufficient discharge to my trustees."
MND Australia and MND Research Australia can provide donation slips and reply paid envelopes for use at funeral services. We can also provide you with a QR code poster to scan.

Fundraising events are a very important and significant source of donations for MND Australia. The simplest way to fundraise is through online fundraising platforms.
MND Australia is a registered charity with GoFundMe.
MND Research Australia is registered with Gofundraise.
Gofundraise and GoFundMe are well-established online fundraising platforms and are very user friendly. As with all online donation platforms, Gofundraise and GoFundMe do charge some fees at the point of donation. These fees are minimal and, given that donor receipts are automatically generated at the time of donation, results in a saving in MND Australia staff time.

If you are planning to hold an event and to collect funds on behalf of MND Australia or MND Research Australia then you will need to apply for an authority to fundraise. Donations to both MND Australia are processed through the SecurePay payment portal. SecurePay systems meet all of the latest global security standards. When you donate online, your credit card details are not stored or seen by our staff, and remain secure.
If you do not feel comfortable donating online, you can donate over the phone, or by direct bank transfer.
