Australian neurologists with expertise in MND

A neurologist is a specialist physician who diagnoses and treats conditions of the brain, spinal cord and nerves.

If MND is suspected, you will need a referral from your GP to see a neurologist. Only a neurologist can diagnose MND.

The diagnosis of motor neurone disease (MND) can be difficult and lengthy, so it is important to access a neurologist who has developed expertise in assessing and managing people with the disease.

The list below of Australian-based neurologists, organised alphabetically under state and public/private sector, all have recognised expertise in MND.
